Hello! I'm Kathy, an award-winning newspaper medical and feature writer who left the newsroom early because of screaming joints, balking disks and fuming muscles.

I found it easy to get clinical information about my health problems. What I couldn't find: A central place to tell me how to keep the style in my life with pain-reducing gadgets, recipes and fashion. I also wanted tips on how to stay positive, and books that provided a different perspective on pain.

So, I created this blog.

I have my master's degree in counseling and love to spend time with my husband and two teens, to read and to stretch my creativity every chance I get.
